Senior Mental Health Clinical OT Position

 

  • Rate: $45-$50.00/hr + super
  • Vehicle Allowance additional to salary
  • Full time or part time negotiable

Enhance OT are seeking a Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our experienced team.

 

We encourage Occupational Therapists with experience in the assessment and treatment of persons with psychosocial conditions.

This is a clinical role with a case load including adults and adolescents. Successful applicants have the opportunity to work from our northern or southern office.

We support remote working due to COVID 19 precautions with e-health certified IT infrastructure.

 

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in providing assessment and goal focused interventions for people with a broad range of mental health conditions.
  • Experienced in the use of a variety of clinical assessment tools.
  • High quality documentation skills and sound clinical reasoning
  • Motivated and passionate people who have a strong focus on achieving quality outcomes.
  • National Police check and relevant screenings
  • OT Australia Membership

 

Welcomed experience:

  • Sensory profile assessment and treatment
  • Forensic health
  • Expert witness and medico-legal report writing.
  • Positive Behaviour Support assessment and implementation
  • Therapeutic solutions for people with ASD and developmental conditions

 

Clinical Team:

The advertised role is part of the Enhance OT Complex Needs Team. This team consists of experienced clinicians who bring and together share a diverse range of skills and knowledge.

 

Supports:

Our clinicians are supported by our client service team including PA, therapy assistants, booking and administrative support staff.

Community services and off site working is supported by multiple offices and working from home.

Supervision:

The advertised role is supervised by our Clinical Lead Team. We support professional growth and have future leadership roles for applicants looking for further career development opportunities.

The company are providers to various government and private contracts. The successful applicant will demonstrate an understanding of service context and guidelines in relation to therapy delivery.

2. Expected Knowledge of Funding Sources:

The company are NDIS registered. The successful applicant will have advanced working knowledge of therapeutic support services for client's with NDIS plans (and other compensation programs).

3. High Care Needs and Community Care:

The successful applicant will have recent experience working with people who have 24/7 care and complex support needs. 

4. Team Contribution

The successful applicant will positively contribute to the Enhance OT Complex Needs Team, practice culture and client satisfaction.

5. Quality Management and Systems Approach

Enhance OT have practice management systems which are measured and certified against the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001).
