COVID-19 Screening for OT Visits
Enhance OT acknowledge and monitor instructions provided by SA Health for home visit allied health services.
Health of clients, staff and community is primary and screening of risk is continuous.
Monitoring Alerts
The alerts and advice from SA Health and the Australian Department of Health will change daily.and advise for home visiting service may change daily.
The company will revise their policy based on real time legislation, SAPOL directives and our own risk assessment.
We will discuss any alerts during a screening call the day before the visit.
Health & Home Visits
All people in the home visit must be free of cold/flu symptoms.
Any cold or flu symptoms in the home will mean deferment of consult.
Our client service team will be pleased to assist with any questions and rescheduling.
Confirming the Appointment
To confirm the appointment we will contact you the day before the visit.
During this call, we will conduct a short screening to ensure the visit can proceed under the current directives for health worker services.
Testing & Waiting on Results
SA health require people who are waiting on a negative COVID19 test result to self isolate.
We cannot attend the home whilst any person is self isolating and waiting on a negative test results.
This policy includes all COVID19 testing, including testing required after interstate travel.

Travel & Hot Spots
SA Health and the company are monitoring alerts from interstate locations which may have COVID19 restrictions.
The company regularly review the legislation which protects aged and disability care. We will follow these guidances and alerts for safe home visit services.
When SA health identifies a location due to COVID19 risk, the company will screen for recent visitation to this location.
If any person recently in the home has travelled to location with COVID19 alert, the assessment will be rescheduled.
Company will follow hot spot alerts and state wide restrictions.

The clinical team member we send to your home will have the same screening every day.

Good health - no cold or flu symptoms

COVID19 negative testing - clearance times to home visits and workplace

Vaccinated - all employees vaccinated COVID, influenza and meet TGA, SA Health guidance

Travel - daily declarations from staff about travel locations
Sanitation and PPE
In accordance with SA health guidelines, we keep a sanitation register for every home visit, which includes record of hand hygiene and Personal Protection Equipment use.
In the event of any community transmission in South Australia, all home visits will require use of mask and any other PPE control as risk assessed by the company.
Contract Tracing
In accordance with SA health guidelines and other state legislation, we keep a record of all persons in attendance at assessment.
Details are stored in the secure storage and in clinical file.
Attendance at all our work sites is controlled and by invitation only.
All people attending site must complete COVID19 check in before entry.
Residential Age Care Sites
Each location will have its own policies and Enhance OT can provide documentation required to site managers.
Documents provided to sites before visit:
OT daily declaration - free of cold/flu, recent travel, flu vaccination.
